George MacDonald (Composer/Sound Designer) is a recent graduate of Bates College, Lewiston, Maine (B.A. Music Composition). George accompanies modern dance and composes live music for theater. NYC credits include Facing The Minotaur and The Country Wife. His scores at Bates College received honors from the The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Bates College original score credits include A Lie of the Mind, Alcestis, and All The World’s A Grave. George studied dance accompaniment from the world class accompanists of the Bates College Modern Dance Festival.
Sarah Nochenson (Stage Manager) is a Stage Manager based out of NYC. She has spent the last year working at the Juilliard School where she stage managed in the Drama, Vocal Arts, Dance, and Music Technology Divisions. She also produced the award winning feature film “The Feed”. She is delighted to be a part of the Red Thread Family!
Julie Rosier (Producer) recently produced Beyond the Machine: A Festival of Electro-Acoustic and Multimedia Art for the Music Technology Center at Juilliard. During the 2009-10 season, she worked as Juilliard’s Assistant Production Manager through their Professional Intern Program. Other credits include Producing Associate with Young Playwrights Inc. and Production Manager for the Experimenta! Festival at LaMama Experimental Theater Club. In addition to theater, she also has produced community workshops, forums and events at The Brecht Forum in NYC and The Boggs Center to Nurture Community Leadership in Detroit.
Chaya Silberstein (Assistant Director) a native of NYC, has been involved in play-making since she was a little girl. Words turned her family’s living-room into swimming pools, gardens and far-away-lands. Specializing in poetry, she has performed at the Brooklyn Public Library, Barnes & Noble, The Cornelia Street Cafe, The Lounge @ Elmo, and at a Passover Seder in Israel. She feels honored to be part of Red Thread Theater. Watching the artists spin personal stories into stage-making-material is magical, inspiring and heartwarming.
Kimberly Tredinnick (General Management Assistant) is thrilled to be a part of Red Thread Theater! Kimberly received her B.A. in Performing Arts Management from The Hartt School in 2009. Since graduating, she has travelled the country working in the company management departments of several theatre companies. Some of these include The Radio City Christmas Spectacular tour, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, and Goodspeed Musicals.
Oliver Wason (Lighting Designer) is a New York based designer of lighting and other things. Recent designs include: Tomorrow’s Shore and Hyperfable (HERE Arts Center), The Drunken City (Paradise Factory), Love in a Tub (Broadway Comedy Club), Deconstructing Berlin (CSV Center), Death in Mozambique (Cherry Pit Theater) and A Land AlfoaT (Hunter College). Assistant design credits include Go Back To Where You Are (Playwrights Horizons), Wings (Second Stage), This Wide Night (Naked Angels), and productions with Clubbed Thumb, Lincoln Center, and Page 73.
